The Shooting Tea

I browsed the Henrys, and asked the salesman if I could get a closer look at the .22 Lever Action model that I’ve had my eye on for a very long time. The moment I took it in my hands I could feel that it had been made just for me. I knew we could be very happy together.

Tea and confessions of a very amateur bird watcher

Every autumn we put out the bird feeders – one’s a big metal affair for black oil sunflower seeds, and the other’s a perforated sock-like device for thistle (nyjer) seeds. The pole that holds the feeders is located about twenty feet in front of the house so we can watch the birds – and, naturally, the squirrels – while we’re having our morning or afternoon tea on the balcony.

Tea Review: English Tea Store’s Formosa Oolong

Generally my tastes run to the lighter end of the oolong spectrum, to the greenish, less fermented, floral type of oolong referred to as pouchong or baozhong. Every so often, though, I find myself – through either choice or chance – with a pot of a darker, more roasted variety of oolong. Like this Formosa Oolong Estate Tea.
